If you’re in the mood for some good wedding inspiration then a look at Kirsty & Brian’s Ringling Ca’ D’Zan Mansion wedding which was just featured today on Style Me Pretty’s Florida blog should do the trick. It was such an amazing day and everything came together so perfectly. We are truly honored to have such amazing clients and work with such talented, creative vendors.
Two people more in love to photograph I could not ask for. Like most couples, Ahna and James laughed and stated “they had never taken photos before” and “had no idea what to do “and like most couples, they already knew everything they needed to know when it comes to taking great photos with us. Which is, of course, to LOVE each other and don’t be shy about it. Great outfits are nice. Stellar locations to shoot a plus. But the best ingredient to bring to every photo session with us or any photographer is a smile and the one you love on your arm. The rest will take care of itself.
Ever want to explore an old, creaky, abandoned mansion that time forgot? Wander through fallen trees and around its aged and collapsing sculpture garden. Broken fountains and empty pools where the owner, an early 20th Century mining tycoon and his family would recline and relax. How about having a wedding at one?
We were beyond excited to photograph Kristen & Nick’s Alder Manor Wedding on the banks of the Hudson River just outside of Yonkers, New York. The home hasn’t had living occupants for almost 65 years and to say that the mansion and grounds have character is an understatement. We love Kristen and Nick with their raw, candid emotion for each other, which perfectly mirrors the gorgeous location they chose to say their vows.

Jess & Jason had the most absolutely perfect day for their wedding in Ocean City Maryland. The place where the two first met, had their first date and where Jason popped THE question to Jess. To say that it is a place near and dear to their hearts is an understatement.
Jessica loves these things about film too so when we told her that adding it on to her wedding was a possibility that we would absolutely LOVE to accommodate, there was no question in her mind.
Here is a look at a few of the photos shot on film from her wedding. All photos shot on Kodak Portra 400 or 800 with a Contax 645, Zeiss 80mm f:2.

Not that many people could get me up before 6am for a portrait session, but the chance to shoot such dear friends Liz & Sean, with one of my dearest friends made me do it. And, well this light doesn’t hurt either. Recently I had the distinct honor of shooting this amazing couple’s wedding with one of my dearest friends, Tina Sargeant, and was also so happy to join again for their morning after session. Liz and Sean are some of the sweetest, most talented & creative, and just perfect people to be around. I am so blessed to have had the honor of shooting their wedding, and even more blessed to call them friends.
I don’t always wake up at 6am, but when i do, this happens… (btw’s love you kids, lets hang soon please)
New York City is stacked with great parks and spots to shoot but non quite compares to THE park. We love to wander the trails, across its bridges and find new, hidden locations for engagement photos in Central Park. Its no wonder why people travel from all over the world just to see and explore it. I know these two love it so much, they are having their wedding at the Central Park boathouse next year. We can’t wait.

Heres a few photos of our recent weddings and engagement session.
We were so honored to travel to Hawaii earlier this month for Ashley & Marc’s wedding at Olowalu Plantation House in Maui. There are so many amazing moments from the whole day that I cant wait to make a whole wedding post. Until then, heres a preview of some of my favorite shots from their bride and groom portraits. Enjoy!
We aren’t called Divine Light for nuthin! Monette & Preston were absolutely amazing yesterday. We (heart) Them!
Bianca and Tobin have quickly become some of our favorite wedding clients so I just had to post this one from their wedding at the Tampa Museum of Art in Tampa, Florida last week. We love them so much so believe that there are many more to come!
Weddings at the Tampa museum of fine art located in Downtown Tampa is by far one of our favorite venues to work at. Weddings there are chic, modern and always a great time with the space to host so many people. Its a one of a kind event space.
